MIKE DAVIS / APP.COM – Six Flags Great Adventure will clear about 40 acres of trees, less than half of what was originally targeted, and preserve another 213 acres under a settlement with environmentalists that paves the way for a long-planned solar farm.
The settlement ends a three-year battle that pitted the park and developer KDC Solar LLC against five environmental groups – Clean Water Action, the New Jersey Conservation Foundation, Environment New Jersey, the Crosswicks-Doctors Creek Watershed Association and Save Barnegat Bay.
