Levinson encourages towns to act on plastics pollution

MICHELLE BRUNETTI POST / PRESS OF ATLANTIC CITY – Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson is asking municipalities to take action to reduce pollution from plastic bags, water bottles and food packaging.

“Perhaps a realistic start would be the elimination of plastic bags, which are everywhere we look,” Levinson wrote in a recent letter to the county’s 23 mayors.
