Holland Township power plant clears first hurdle

NICK MUSCAVAGE / COURIER-NEWS – A company eyeing a plot of land on the Musconetcong River for a potential site of a power plant is drawing the ire of environmental groups.

The company, Phoenix Energy Center LLC, submitted a Highland Applicability Determination application to the state Department of Environmental Protection in April 2018 requesting approval of the redevelopment exemption from the Highlands Rules.
