They were easy to use and store, and didn’t get scratched or lose sound quality after being played over and over.

Today, though, CDs are almost obsolete.

A similar trend is underway regarding the energy that powers our homes and businesses. When you hear ads about the wonders of natural gas, think of CDs!

Natural gas has been touted as a clean “bridge” fuel to wean us from our dependence on coal. At the end of the “bridge,” the thinking went, clean, renewable energy like wind and solar would ramp up, and gas would be phased out …
