DEP confirms ‘strong rotten egg odors’ at Kearny landfill, but can’t say where it’s coming from

AYA ELAMROUSSI / JERSEY JOURNAL – State and local inspectors detected strong rotten egg odors during a visit to the Keegan Landfill this year, but the state agency that owns and operates the facility is maintaining that the source of the stench remains unclear.
