PennEast Pipeline: Federal court delays start of construction

MIKE DEAK / MYCENTRALJERSEY.COM – The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit has granted New Jersey its motion for a stay on the construction of the PennEast Pipeline.

Though Tuesday’s decision by federal Circuit Judge Michael Chagares stays the actual construction, PennEast will be allowed to continue surveying the land needed for the 110-mile natural gas pipeline from northeastern Pennsylvania through the western quarter of Hunterdon County parallel to the Delaware River.
