BLAKE NELSON / NJ.COM – New Jersey farmers produce a billion dollars’ worth of goods every year. New data provides both good and bad news about their very tough job.

Every five years, the U.S. Department of Agriculture publishes a census showing the state of farms nationwide, including the Garden State. The newest report was published Thursday.
