CAROL COMEGNO / COURIER POST – Larry Foster and wife Orly Buday knew they were in for more than rain at their Southampton home when the forecast called for severe thunderstorms last Wednesday into Thursday.
So did resident Brianna Wortham who lives in the same Ewansville neighborhood as did Joanne and Deke Ferrell who live in adjacent Lumberton.
They waited and kept watch, knowing the water would rise in these low-lying areas along Burlington County’s Rancocas Creek.
They’ve been through other floods at their homes.
Residents here have been playing a waiting game since 2004 when a thunderstorm led to collapsed dams upstream, deluging homes in Southampton and Lumberton with lake water and rain …
