Editorial: New Jersey needs to ban single-use plastic bags – now

NORTHJERSEY.COM – A comprehensive ban on plastic bags, believed to be one of the strictest measures in the nation, seems close to becoming law in New Jersey. Such a law might not magically lead us overnight to a more thoughtful, sustainable future regarding our climate and environment, but it would be a much-needed start, and a practical way for the state to respond to a planet in crisis.
