DAVID M. ZIMMER / NORTHJERSEY.COM – Government officials and marina owners met on the frozen shore of Greenwood Lake on Thursday to lobby for emergency funds to prevent another summer marred by algae blooms.
Gov. Phil Murphy announced late last year that the state would administer a $13 million grant program to allow lake communities to tackle the algae program that triggered no-swimming advisories and economic struggles at North Jersey’s largest lakes in 2019.
